Celebrate Independence Day with lively entertainment, free activities and dynamic family fun. Breck’s Independence Day celebration kicks off with a 10K trail run and continues throughout the day with the Firecracker 50 bike race leading the vibrant Fourth of July Parade on historic Main Street, July Arts Festival, live music, kids’ activities, concerts and so much more. End the night with the National Repertory Orchestra performing a patriotic concert at the Riverwalk Center followed by fireworks at 9:45pm.

Located at Main Street Station – on the corner of Main Street and Park Ave, over 100 artists will be featured at this annual event. The 32nd Annual Breckenridge July Art Festival – this established show will feature over 100 artists from around the country. Artists will present ceramics, mixed media, fiber, jewelry, painting, wood, glass, sculpture and much more! You won’t want to miss this fabulous summer weekend of art and mountain ambiance. The July Art Festival provides a venue for talented artisans to exhibit and sell their work to thousands of art enthusiasts every summer, while offering patrons the unique opportunity to meet the artists, learn the sources of their inspiration, ask questions about techniques, commission a specific piece, and, of course, purchase existing fine works of art.

Breckenridge Ski Resort, the USFS and Epic Promise invite the public to the annual Mountain Cleanup Day on Thursday, June 25 at the Peak 8 Base area.

Cleanup volunteers should meet at 9am at the One Ski Hill Place patio to pick up trash bags, directions to specific cleanup sites, and sign waivers. Parking is available in the North Gondola Lot and the gondola will be running to the base of Peak 8 from 8:30am until 5:30pm Volunteers should bring water, sun block, sunglasses, hat, snacks, gloves, sturdy hiking boots, and layers to prepare for the unpredictable Colorado weather.

Kick off summer with time in the saddle. Breckenridge is packing the community’s favorite cycling activities – mountain and road demos, skills clinics, and guided tours – into a few days (June 24th – 28th) of fun, now called Breck Demo Days (formerly Breck Bike Week). Explore all summer and be the first to ride the new pump track and flow line, plus other trails thanks to Breckenridge Open Space and Trails.

Try out the latest rides from Trek, Raleigh, and Scott, plus demo bikes with the newest components from SRAM and Shimano. Demos free to the public 6/27/15 and 6/28/15
